The idea
Learning words from a list works for a day, then they are gone. This app helps someone learn Turkish by repeating each word at the moment they are about to forget it, and by showing words in real sentences and short stories.
The solution
- Repetition at the right time: each word comes back after a growing interval, based on how well it was known last time. Words that keep going wrong are collected separately for extra practice.
- Adding words is quick: type a word and the translation is filled in automatically, with room to check and correct it.
- Words in context: example sentences for each word, and short AI-written stories on a chosen topic, followed by questions to check understanding.
- Grammar help: explanations and practice exercises for a grammar topic, written by AI.
- Hear it spoken: every word and sentence can be played back with natural Turkish pronunciation.
- Quizzes that make you think: wrong answer options are words that look similar to the right one, so guessing doesn't work.
- Progress in view: statistics and a daily study limit. The app also works for learning Dutch.
The result
A study app where the AI does the time-consuming parts, like writing practice material, and the repetition schedule decides what to study next.
